The Famine Witch & More

Updates from editor K.R. Wieland

Hello all!

2024 has a fantastic line-up of books for you, and I cannot wait to tell you more about them.

The Famine Witch by Stephen Black is released today! I am so excited for all of you to read this dark historical fantasy, which takes place in Ireland in 1847. Follow the story of evil and revenge as one young woman fights for what is right. You can find The Famine Witch in The Crow Shoppe now.

Cassandra L. Thompson will be publishing a new novella through our imprint press, Black Rose called The Dark Queen’s Apothecary. Releasing on February 14, this dark romance will be the perfect story for the season. Follow our socials to hear more!

We recently revealed the beautiful cover for A.M. Davis’s new book, The Mourning of Leone Manor. This Gothic romance tale has a little bit of everything, from ghosts to murder and so much more. You can join us to hear more about this new book from the author herself on Friday, January 26 at 6 pm on Instagram Live. This novel will be out on May 17th but you can preorder it now in The Crow Shoppe.

Eye of the Ouroboros by Megan Bontrager is the next upcoming novel, coming out in April, with the cover reveal this Friday. This cosmic horror tale will take you to strange new worlds, and finding your way back always has a cost. We’ll be sharing more about this story in the coming months, and we hope you get as excited as we are about it.

Black Rose, our dark romance imprint press, will be accepting novel submissions from February 1st through February 14th. For more information on what we are looking for and how to submit, see the Black Rose page on our website.

The Crow Shoppe is stocked once again with new merchandise, some of which falls into the dark romance aesthetic just in time for Valentine’s Day and the release of The Dark Queen’s Apothecary. There’s also new mugs, jewelry, and books for you to discover!

Much love from my Little Black Heart,

K.R. Wieland
