Inhuman

something rises,

from the ashes of my shattered dreams,

Inhuman,

I buried my first love,

in this hallowed ground,

but what's risen,

is monstrous,

an abomination,

unnatural,

inhuman,

ivory skin,

and ebony hair,

feathered wings,

darkly sweet,

and now I'm lost in her deathly gaze,

for crows are crying at her grave,

so falling to my knees,

in adoration,

I do plea,

as cold arms wrap around me,

her teeth biting,

gorging,

my life,

my blood,

but before I succumb,

and darkness takes me,

I see her,

my life,

my first love,

but now reborn,

a monster,

death's mistress,

a grotesque Phoenix,

my dark goddess,
