End of the Year Wrap-Up

Updates & reflections from editor K.R. Wieland

Hello all!

What a year it has been! I cannot quite believe that 2023 is almost over. First off, I just want to thank you all for your support this past year. We are positive you will enjoy what we have coming in 2024 just as much!

This past year, we saw our first novel publications from authors who submitted their stories to us. We had dark fantasy retellings and Gothic mystery. We had single author short story collections and historical fiction as well. We have loved every book that came out this year and we hope you have, too.

We have had a huge variety of items in The Crow Shoppe this year! It has been fun to see new items come in, some of which sold out rather quickly. We’ve gotten more candles from Cassandra’s Craft and seen a ton of shirts, jewelry, bookmarks, and so many other amazing things. (I can’t wait to see what will come next year!)

2023 has also seen the end of The Crow’s Quill. The magazine has been so much fun and an labor of love for those of us who worked on it. We hope you continue to go back and read them and hopefully we’ll have more available in hard copies to purchase coming soon.

We’ll be ending the year with A Conjuring of Dandelions, a poetry collection from A.L. Garcia, which you can and should pre-order now in our shoppe. Quill & Crow started out with The Ancient Ones, followed by poetry collections in Crow Calls, so I find it absolutely beautiful that we’ll be ending this year with Cassandra L. Thompson’s collection of short horror stories (My Little Black Book of Horror) and a stunning collection of Garcia’s poetry.

We wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a very happy New Year!

Much love from my Little Black Heart,

K.R. Wieland
