We're Back!

Updates from editor K.R. Wieland

Hello, all! We are back with monthly newsletters. While I can’t cover everything that has happened since we took a break from these, buckle up, because I’m going to try my best!

While our newsletters have taken a break, our team has not. So far, we’ve published 12 books this year, including our first YA Horror under our new imprint Crow Teen. Also among those published this year, you’ll find My Monsters Ain’t Like Yours, Sourwood, and God’s Own Country, to name a few. You can find all these and more both listed on our website and available for purchase on our online shop.

We have recently closed to unsolicited submissions, but plan to open again on October 1st. We are hoping to see novels and horror novellas that have not previously been published. To get a full picture of what we’re looking for (and not looking for), please head to our submissions page. You can also peruse our catalog to see the types of titles we publish. If you are hoping to send us your manuscript, take some time to read through these things and polish up your stories! We’re looking forward to reading them.

In September, we're releasing two titles. The first is by the Queen of Pink Horror herself, Wendy Dalrymple. Feed the Tree follows the story of a young woman asked to do unspeakable things in the name of love. Our second book is Hollow Folk by Andrew K. Clark. This is a blend of Gothic romance and Appalachian folk horror, where three people are trapped in a hotel, one cannot be trusted, and the mountains are watching.

You can preorder these and more, as well as find our previously published works at The Crow Shoppe. Our sister store is always running sales on our books, and you can also find apparel, accessories, and fragrances too.

We’d also like to welcome all the “new Crows” whose novels will debut in the spring. We have a full slate this year, and we’re so excited to bring you more dark fantasy, more Gothics and, of course, more horror! Be sure to follow us on social media for more.
