Before I get into all the happenings, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported our Kickstarter for The Crow’s Quill! Not only did we meet our goal, but we were able to surpass all our stretch goals as well. We could not have done it without you all. We appreciate your support so much!
Okay, enough of the mushy stuff, our Costume & Crows event is still going! You have until the 21st to post your photos before voting begins. We are looking for costumes based on our anthology themes or characters from The Ancient Ones Trilogy. There is an assortment of prizes you can win, so be sure to share your costume, use the hashtag #CrowsCostumes and tag @QuillandCrow and @jax2_0 to be entered.
The Tales of Toys & Terror writing contest is over and I’m told the winner has been chosen! Be sure to catch the latest issue of The Crow’s Quill, out November 1st, to read the winning story. This story will fit perfectly into this month’s theme of Toy Box, filled with terrifying tales I’m sure you’ll all love. Just before the magazine is released, the Dark Poet Society Blog will be available. This month’s major theme is Conquest. Be sure to watch for links where you can read poems from the Crows and get your monthly fix of dark poetry.
If you are a writer, make sure to check our submissions page on our website. We have recently released four anthology themes for publication next year. Each theme has a specified submission date that you will need to pay close attention to before sending us your work. While there, you can also check the submission themes and guidelines for The Crow’s Quill as well.
Just one last reminder to you all that The Ancient Ones: Revelations is available for preorder. This is the third and final book of the series and you won’t want to miss how the story wraps up! Cassandra does an amazing job writing characters that you cannot help but root for. If you haven’t preordered yet, I suggest you do so and that can be done on our website in the Crow Shop. It will be released on October 31st for you to enjoy!
