Adrift the Darkest Depths

January is almost over, and I am over the moon at how well our first #CrowCalls initiative went down! The sheer amount of poetic talent on social media astounds me daily. I want to thank everyone for participating, and I’m pleased to announce - you voted for it - #CrowCalls will be back in February! More info on that, plus January's drawing, coming in next week's newsletter.

Have you seen Spyder Collin’s book cover yet? Well no more excuses, it’s below. I can’t believe how perfectly our Lauren, from Liliana Marie Creative, captured the dreary, somber tone of his work in her art. Interested in Adrift on a Sea of Shadows? It’s officially ready for preorder HERE.

Read Coffee, Book, & Candle’s Review of it HERE.

Speaking of Coffee, Book, & Candle, we are teaming up with them this month for the Darkest Depths Competition. In honor of Spyder’s book with its morbidly romantic overtones and the month of Valentine’s Day, the theme is Dark Romance. Please send us a dark romantic poem or a flash fiction piece using the prompt, “Darkest Depths”, for a chance to win some amazing prizes. What prizes you ask?

First Prize: Adrift a Sea of Shadows by Spyder Collins, Bloodhound by Marie Casey, and Rise of the Dark Goddess AND The Ancient Ones by Cassandra L. Thompson + one Ancient Ones character candle (of your choosing) + one Edgar Allen Poe bookmark (of your choosing)

Second Prize: Rise of the Dark Goddess by Cassandra L. Thompson + one Ancient Ones character candle (of your choosing) + one Edgar Allen Poe bookmark (of your choosing)

Third Prize: 1 Ancient Ones character candle (of your choosing) + 1 Edgar Allen Poe bookmark (of your choosing)

Intrigued? Visit Coffee, Book, & Candle for more info.

Until next time...

- Cassandra
